How to Find Your Size When Shopping Online

Ivory embroidered tunic

Sizes differ from brand to brand, so the most reliable way to shop online is to know your measurements and compare them with each product's size chart. All you need is a soft measuring tape and a mirror.

Measure yourself

  • Bust: around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
  • Waist: around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
  • Hips: around the fullest part of your hips, with your feet together.
  • Keep the tape snug but not tight, and wear light clothing while you measure.

Read the chart the right way

Match your largest measurement first. If your bust says M and your hips say L, choose L for dresses, kurtas and gowns, and consider tailoring the rest. For relaxed or flowy silhouettes you can usually size down; for fitted pieces, stay true to your measurements.

When you're between sizes

Choose the larger size for anything fitted across the chest or hips, or when you like room to move. Choose the smaller size for stretchy fabrics. Our product pages note the fit where it matters, and our size guide has the full chart.
